My name is Tricia Hexter and I am a certified teacher with a Masters Degree in Education. I have been a teacher since 1996 and have always had a passion for education. I am a busy mom of 3 children who attend Grosse Pointe Schools.
My vision for the Grosse Pointe Insititute for Learning was to create a space where I can teach children and encourage them in a positive, interesting, and fun environment. Having a designated space where we can gather in small groups or private sessions gives me the ability to access materials and focus all of the attention on learning without distractions.
Grosse Pointe Institute for Learning designs content based on the needs of our students while meeting Michigan State Standards. Hands-on math manipulatives, games, thought provoking discussion, collaborative groups, and content-focused lessons, allow our students to thrive.
