The purpose of the Grosse Pointe South Choir Boosters is to solicit contributions from the general public for financial support of the Grosse Pointe South High School Choir Music Program, its students and faculty through the purpose of equipment and materials, and the hiring of specialized instructors to further the purpose of promoting the music and artistic talents of the students in the choral music program at Grosse Pointe Sough High School, a public school.

Grosse Pointe Sunrise Rotary Club

The Grosse Pointe Sunrise Rotary Club meets on Tuesday mornings at 7 a.m. at the Ford House, 1100 Lake Shore Road, Grosse Pointe Shores MI 48236

Currently, GP Sunrise Rotary has approximately 30 members. This club is involved in projects locally and internationally. One of their projects involves presenting scholarships to students from several high schools in the area. They also have “Pre-teen Girls Program” which is housed in Peace Lutheran church. They support this program through stipends for the Directors, holiday food baskets and gifts. They have just helped them start a small library for the program. Their major fundraiser is the Grosse Pointe Run. Mission Statement:

The Veterans Club is a community veterans organization of former and active duty servicemen and women who have joined together to honor the traditions of the U.S. Armed Forces and to support the patiriotic mission of military service organizations. Membship is open to all honorabley discharged Grosse Pointe Veterans, eastside veterans, veterans of allied forced or active duty personnel regardless of service branch or years served who live within 30 miles of the War Memorial. This included peace time or war time veterans. The sole purpose of the club is educational as well as social.

The Junior League of Detroit is a dynamic group of women leaders who have been making change happen since 1914. For over 100 years we have been striving to promote voluntarism, develop the potential of women and improve communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.

Through our projects and programs we work continuously to impact the lives of children and families, and help build a better community. Since 1914 the Junior League of Detroit has completed 53 major projects in and around the City of Detroit, and awarded over $250,000 dollars in community grants.

For over 100 years our valued members have donated thousands of hours of volunteer time, continually working to help broaden the educational, cultural, recreational, and health opportunities for children and families in our much loved community.

The Moross Greenway Project is a 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization, dedicated to creating a greenscape on the Moross Islands from St. John Hospital to I-94.

MISSION STATEMENT

The purpose of the Moross Greenway Project is to create a greenscape for the Moross Road islands from I-94 to St. John Hospital. The collaborative effort of civic, business, religious and community organizations will beautify the area by creating a greenway that will enhance the eastside community and the Cornerstone Village neighborhood. 

VISION STATEMENT

The Moross Greenway Project will give the community an opportunity to work together for the common purpose of creating a welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike. Project volunteers represent diverse community groups and have come together in a quest to enhance our community by focusing on the improvement of this much travelled thoroughfare. Native plants will offer a landscape that can be sustainable and attractive. This initiative is an investment in the future of our neighborhoods and our community.
