Superhero Project Exhibit

Celebrate the power of imagination, inclusion, representation and joy by visiting this special exhibit of more than 50 amazing posters.  The exhibit will be on display at all three locations through September 9th.

Using the power of art as a tool for healing, The Superhero Project empowers youth impacted by serious illnesses, disabilities, community trauma, and other complex mental health or medical needs.  Kids and teens are interviewed about who they are beyond their diagnosis and how they want to make a positive difference in the world – their superhero mission.  The storytelling collaboration continues when digital illustrators – a global league of Extraordinary Artists – design the alter egos the children have described – visual representations of their strength, courage, creativity and resilience.  Families receive inspiring posters of their superheroes to treasure forever.

This will be a moment where people of all religions, cultures, and walks of life can come together in solemn remembrance of and solidarity against the hatred that fueled those tragic events in New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and indeed the entire United States and world.

Moments of silence will be observed for the three airplane crashes that hit the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and all lives lost on 9/11.

A coffee social hour will be held in the Alger Center Community Room after the morning service for all to gather for conversation, reflection, and fellowship.
