During a ribbon-cutting ceremony on September 19, 2014, the Mary Ellen Stempfle University Center opened its second building—the Center for Distance Learning—on the same campus site as its University Center (located at 19191 Verner Road in Harper Woods, Michigan). In the fall of 2015, the building was renamed and became the Center for Learning Technology.
The Center provides innovative approaches to using technology for teaching, professional development and community engagement. The Center offers virtual classrooms and videoconferencing, a digital repository, video/audio production, webinars, and technology-enhanced meeting space for faculty, staff, business and community members.
