All playwrights and those interested in becoming one are invited to participate in Grosse Pointe Theater’s Take Ten Play-writing Workshops held virtually July – October 2021, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the second Saturday of the month. The cost for the four-workshop series is $25 or free to members of GPT. All participants are welcome. Membership information is provided on the registration page. The workshops will teach skills in storytelling, specifically in the ten-minute play-writing format. The virtual workshops will make it easy for playwrights from any area to participate.

By the end of the workshop series, participants should have a finished ten-minute play that they can submit to Grosse Pointe Theater’s Take Ten Play Festival competition. The competition is open to all playwrights. The workshop series will be a worthwhile educational exercise for newcomers, as well as those who have experience in play-writing. Play submissions to GPT’s play-writing competition will be accepted through Dec. 31, 2021, and the winning submissions will be performed next spring.
