Situated on the grounds of the historic Alger Estate, The War Memorial serves an estimated 250,000 individuals with over 3,000 functions annually, including programs to honor veterans, engagement experiences for adults and children, community events and celebrations, and premier hospitality services. With new programming and innovative leadership, The War Memorial is a unique, dynamic and forward-thinking hub for southeast Michigan with a mission to be a patriotic, cultural, and community leader.
Grosse Pointe War Memorial Veterans Club Inc.
Mission Statement:
The Veterans Club is a community veterans organization of former and active duty servicemen and women who have joined together to honor the traditions of the U.S. Armed Forces and to support the patiriotic mission of military service organizations. Membship is open to all honorabley discharged Grosse Pointe Veterans, eastside veterans, veterans of allied forced or active duty personnel regardless of service branch or years served who live within 30 miles of the War Memorial. This included peace time or war time veterans. The sole purpose of the club is educational as well as social.

Inaugural Member – Private Yacht Club which has consistently been voted Number One Yacht Club in the United States by the Club Managers Association. Diverse programs from sailing, swimming, tennis, platform tennis and bowling, in addition to fine dining and children’s programs, are all benefits of membership.

Inaugural Member. Nonprofit community theatre organization for over 74 years offering live performing arts productions as well as youth and adult theatre arts education.
