Grosse Pointe Sunrise Rotary Club

The Grosse Pointe Sunrise Rotary Club meets on Tuesday mornings at 7 a.m. at the Ford House, 1100 Lake Shore Road, Grosse Pointe Shores MI 48236

Currently, GP Sunrise Rotary has approximately 30 members. This club is involved in projects locally and internationally. One of their projects involves presenting scholarships to students from several high schools in the area. They also have “Pre-teen Girls Program” which is housed in Peace Lutheran church. They support this program through stipends for the Directors, holiday food baskets and gifts. They have just helped them start a small library for the program. Their major fundraiser is the Grosse Pointe Run. The purpose of the Grosse Pointe South Choir Boosters is to solicit contributions from the general public for financial support of the Grosse Pointe South High School Choir Music Program, its students and faculty through the purpose of equipment and materials, and the hiring of specialized instructors to further the purpose of promoting the music and artistic talents of the students in the choral music program at Grosse Pointe Sough High School, a public school.

Grosse Pointe South High School (GPS), commonly called South, is one of two public high schools located in the Grosse Pointes, suburban cities adjacent to Detroit, Michigan. At the corner of Fisher Road and Grosse Pointe Blvd, in Grosse Pointe Farms, Grosse Pointe High School, the first public high school in the area, opened its doors in 1928.

Grosse Pointe North High School

Grosse Pointe North High School opened in 1968. It is home to more than 1500 students in grades 9 – 12, about 160 faculty and staff members, and countless parent volunteers, coaches, and club sponsors who work together to make North one of the best schools in the nation. The Grosse Pointe North campus includes the Performing Arts Center, which is used for a wide variety of events by all the schools in the district as well as by the community-at-large.
