Ford House Cider Days and Tent Sales

When you explore the fall splendor of our and gardens Oct. 3-4, you can also add a treat from Blake’s Orchard and shop our Tent Sale.

With your Grounds Pass purchase, you can add a half gallon of cider and donuts to your order to enjoy during your visit for $10 (purchase link available at checkout). We will not have on site sales– advance orders only, please.

You can also shop the Museum Shop Tent Sale, featuring a wide variety of merchandise, including decorative items, books, jewelry, and more!

All visitors, including members, must register online for a timed ticket to the estate. Member tickets are still free, but you must log in first to receive your discount. Public passes are $5, free for children 5 and under.

There will be no on-site ticket sales. You must present your ticket to enter the estate. Each person must carry a mask with them at all times and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Get Your Pink On

The Village presents “Get Your Pink On” an event sponsored by Ascension St. John Hospital on Thursday, Oct. 1, to highlight women’s health. The event underscores the importance for women, even during the pandemic, to stay current with health check-ups and screenings.

This year the event is designed both as an event in The Village and one with online resources that can be accessed by a broader audience. At the event on the first of October, a month designated as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Village guests can meet with women’s health experts from Ascension St. John Hospital for brief 10 minute health presentations, get a mammogram, and have the opportunity to win prizes by identifying pink pumpkins hidden throughout The Village.

The mobile mammography unit will be stationed in front of The Wilson Center from 3:00 p.m. through 7:00 p.m. and appointments are not necessary. Test results are sent directly to participants’ physicians. Women are seen on a first-come basis as time permits.

WAKE UP WITH SUNRISE BREAKFAST TO GO

Sunrise of Grosse Pointe Woods & Sunrise on Vernier will be hosting a “Wake up with Sunrise breakfast to go!

Stop by between 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and pick up a hot & healthy breakfast to get your day started off right. Coffee sponsored by Optalis Health Care

Racing for Kids

We are so disappointed COVID-19 canceled our annual “last blast of summer” fundraiser this year. But we need to keep helping sick kids in hospitals in our community and across the country, so this year our annual fundraiser is going VIRTUAL with online Luxury “Buy Now” items and experiences and our Donate & Dine Package!

The “Donate & Dine Package” is priced at $150 and includes a $100 donation to Racing For Kids, as well as a $50 voucher good at the following restaurant partners:

Village End of Summer Sale!

The Village Downtown hosts its first ever End of Summer Sale. Enjoy hot deals and sizzling savings throughout The Village, both inside and outside participating establishments. There will be no charge for parking in Village lots or the parking structure. Shoppers will be supporting our local retailers, restaurants and professionals — all of whom have worked tirelessly to serve our community — and enjoy some truly great deals.

EyesOn Design Autumn Drive

Pop-Up Drive: Watch or Join Sept 13.

Drivers, design enthusiasts and car-lovers are invited to join a pop-up event on Grandparent’s Day, Sept 13: the EyesOn Design Autumn Drive.

The with-regular-traffic Sunday drive along Lake St. Clair in Grosse Pointe is open for anyone to join from 2:00-4:00pm. Spectactors are encouraged to watch for the sight of beautiful cars between Provencal and the Ford House.

WANT YOUR CAR TO BE PHOTOGRAPHED?

Car owners can request one of 250 slots for admittance to the Ford House grounds, where their vehicle will be photographed in front of the historic Ford Estate, and photos will be available for purchase following the drive.

WANT TO SHOW YOUR CAR AT EYESON DESIGN 2021?

Cars on the Ford Grounds will be judged by a panel of designers from FCA, Ford, GM and Magna. The top two vote-getters will be invited to show their vehicle at the EyesOn Design Automotive Design Exhibition in 2021.
