America’s Boating Club Grosse Pointe would like to invite you to hear from the US Border Patrol, Canadian Border Patrol and the Marine Division, Macomb County Sheriff about Boating on International Waters this summer. Grosse Pointe Historical Society “Je Ne Sais Quoi” Sale

Questers, board members, and community members have brought their treasures for our sale April 29 and 30th. On Saturday the hours will be 10 AM to 5 PM and on Sunday from 12 noon until 5 PM. If you have more items you’d like to bring to the sale, please price them in advance and bring them at 9:30 AM Saturday to 375 Kercheval Ave. We will also be selling the Eric Stroh photographs donated to the Society. Photos will be starting @ $30 each and matted and framed photos starting @ $75 each. Signed photos are price upon request.

Two brothers set out to write the world’s first musical in this hilarious mash-up of sixteenth-century Shakespeare and twenty-first-century Broadway.
Set in the 1590s, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rock star known as “The Bard.” When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theatre involves singing, dancing and acting at the same time, Nick and Nigel set out to write the world’s very first musical. But that’s where things go very wrong!

War Memorial Veterans Club Inc. Meeting

The Grosse Pointe War Memorial Veterans Club, Inc. will be on Thursday, April 13, 2023. Gathering starts at 7 PM and the meeting starts at 7:30 PM in the veterans room of the Alger House. The War Memorial is located at 32 Lake Shore Drive in Grosse Pointe Farms.

 

The program will be a follow-up of the Selfridge Air Museum program. They have a display inside as well as outside. They have many airplanes to enjoy during their visiting hours. Our program will show you what the superfighters are capable of doing as a fighting aircraft. You will discover the power of their weapons. Also about the stealth and supercruise, both revolutions in the air and combat arena.

Admission is free and guests are welcome … especially spouses.
